The 2009 Acura #66 de Ferran Motorsports Jim Hall Tribute ARX-02a is an LMP1 sports prototype by Acura.
It appears in Forza Motorsport 4.
Synopsis[]
Different to its ARX-01b LMP2 counterpart, the ARX-02a is based on a new chassis with 50/50 weight distribution that was developed by Honda Performance Design (HPD) and Wirth Research. The Acura designed 3.4 litre V8 engine from the ARX-01b was enlarged to 4 litres for LMP1 application, resulting in 625 hp (466 kW) and 375 ft·lb (508 N·m) of torque.[1] The project was cancelled before the car's first race in January 2009 by Honda North America president Tetsuo Iwamura, meaning that development ceased before the car even completed one in-race lap[2]
The Jim Hall Tribute livery (which paid tribute to Chaparral and one of its founders, Jim Hall[3]) was worn by the #66 car in the last race of the 2009 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) season at Laguna Seca, which it won from pole.
Variants[]
The ARX-02a appears in two livery variants, with the Jim Hall Tribute not appearing in Forza Motorsport 3:

- 2009 Acura #66 de Ferran Motorsports Jim Hall Tribute ARX-02a
