"When your two-liter motor is a tuner’s dream, with plenty of room to make additional power, it helps if the car it comes in has the moves to match the grunt. Sold as the Integra in Japan, Honda’s engineers crafted a remarkable driver’s car when they came up with the DC5. One look at the cockpit will tell you that — the instrument pod and center cluster all are canted towards the driver, who’s the focus of all the RSX’s charms. Those charms include the S-Type’s 200 horsepower four, whose extra displacement and fancy next-generation i-VTEC with VTC ignition timing control allow the motor to avoid some of the peakiness of the old Integra, for a fatter and more useable powerband. A short-throw manual helps keep the motor on the boil too, adding up to a total driving experience that must be experienced to appreciate."—Official description[1]
The 2002 Acura RSX Type-S - abbreviated as "Acura RSX" - is a front-wheel drive sport compact by Acura.
It appears in all Forza main titles except Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport (2023).
It is featured in Forza Motorsport 5 as part of the LaFerrari Car Pack.
Synopsis[]
The Acura RSX is the successor to the Acura Integra that was sold in North America and Hong Kong, although it was sold as the Honda Integra in Japan and Australia.
It features a two liter inline-four cylinder engine known as the K20A2, which boasts with Honda's i-VTEC system, 200 hp (149 kW) and a 7900 rpm redline. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission coupled to a limited-slip differential that controls the front wheels.
It uses MacPherson front struts and double wishbones in the back, along with 29 mm front and 19 mm rear sway bars. The braking system consists of 11.8 inch vented front rotors and 10.2 inch solid rear rotors with ABS as standard.
Performance[]
The car accelerates nicely, picking up in power around 5000 rpm. However, when accelerating through a corner, wheelspin may occur that will cause understeer. Careful modulation of the throttle and steering must be used to avoid or correct such a situation.
Steering response is sharp and quick, and while understeer is minimal, lift-off oversteer can occur on fast corners. Braking is balanced and powerful.
The RSX is most effective when launched at 3800 rpm under normal conditions, and at 6000 rpm when racing at the Sedona drag strips in Forza Motorsport 3.

- It can be modified with a selection of real-life aftermarket body parts from Mugen, Bomex, INGS, C-West and Chargespeed. It will resemble the Honda Mugen Integra Type-R when upgraded with Mugen parts.
- It can also be modified with the bumpers from the facelifted model.
- It has an incorrectly rendered interior when viewed with an open trunk in Forza Motorsport 5's ForzaVista mode.[2]
