The 2008 Aston Martin #008 Bell Motorsports DBR9 is a GT1 race car by Aston Martin.

It appears in Forza Motorsport 3.

Synopsis[]

The DBR9, with a name that pays homage to the Le Mans winning DBR1, is a race car developed by Prodrive that competed in the GT1 endurance category from 2005 until its demise in 2011. Derived from the DB9, the only common elements between the two cars is the chassis, engine block and cylinder heads, with the race car now having a body constructed from carbon fiber to save weight and a completely flat bottom to help with aerodynamics.[1]

The #008 (chassis DBR9/5) competed in part of the 2008 ALMS season. Driven by Terry Borcheller, Chapman Ducote, and Antonio García (12 Hours of Sebring only), the car entered 5 out of the 11 races in the season and would not manage to take a class win in any of those races. While the team would finish 2nd in the standings, this would be because they would be the only competitor to the C6.Rs that dominated the season[2]
