"Should you encounter the urge to travel at speeds upwards of 200 mph in regal comfort, the Vantage S awaits. Packed with a V12, the Vantage S just pulls and pulls… and then pulls some more. Excess is standard equipment in an Aston Martin and the Vantage S positively exudes it. This is more car than most will ever need, but isn’t half the fun knowing that a car is capable of much more than it will ever be asked? Take this ultimate luxury sport coupe for a ride and decide for yourself."—Official description[1]
The 2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S - abbreviated as "Vantage S '13" or "AM Vantage '14" - is a rear-wheel drive grand tourer by Aston Martin.
It appears in Forza Horizon 2 as part of the IGN Car Pack and all subsequent main series titles.
Synopsis[]
The V12 Vantage S is a more lighter and powerful paddle-shifter variant of the V12 Vantage that debuted for the 2013 model year.
It is powered by Aston Martin's long-running 5.9 litre V12 engine, codenamed AM28, which has been updated with a new engine management system and variable valve timing with knock sensors for higher efficiency. The AM28 has improved specifications over its predecessor, as it offers 565 hp (421 kW) at 6650 rpm and 457 ft·lb (620 N·m) of torque at 5500 rpm, with about 400 ft·lb (542 N·m) of torque already accessible at 1000 rpm.
The chassis of the Vantage S weighs 33 lb (15 kg) less than its predecessor but has slightly more weight at the front. Its seven-speed paddle-shifter gearbox offers quicker gear changes compared to its predecessor and allows the car to hit at least 205 mph (330 km/h). Its instanteneous torque output makes a 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) time of four seconds and 0 to 100 mph (161 km/h) time of 8.7 seconds possible, although the former is actually slower in the Forza series than officially claimed by the manufacturer.[2]
