The 1998 Aston Martin V8 Vantage V600 - abbreviated as "AM Vantage '98" - is a front-engined supercar by Aston Martin that appears in Forza Motorsport 4 as part of the July Car Pack and Forza Horizon 3.
It is featured as standard in Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Motorsport (2023).
Synopsis[]
The Vantage V600 is a high-performance model based on the 1990s Virage grand tourer. As implied by its name, the V600 has 600 hp (447 kW) that allowed it to have comparable performance to supercars of its day.
It was put into a low-volume production from 1998 to 2000. The Vantage name was reintroduced in the following decade by a series of two-seater cars including the Aston Martin V12 Vantage.
Due to its luxury car platform, the Vantage V600 has a heavy front-biased chassis weighing 4414 lb (2002 kg) and is equipped with large diameter ventilated disc brakes with six-piston calipers for optimal stopping power.
To enable supercar performance, it is powered by a twin supercharged 5.3 litre V8, mated to a five-speed manual transmission, with 600 hp (447 kW) and 600 ft·lb (813 N·m) of torque. The V600 goes from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.6 seconds and tops out at 195 mph (314 km/h), which is increased to 201 mph (323 km/h) in Forza Horizon 3.
