—Official description[1]

The 1995 Audi RS 2 Avant - abbreviated as Audi RS 2 - is an AWD sports wagon by Audi featured in Forza Motorsport 4 and all subsequent main series titles except Forza Horizon.

It is only available as part of The Smoking Tire Car Pack in Forza Motorsport 5.

Synopsis

The RS 2 Avant was designed and manufactured in cooperation with Porsche. It was introduced as Audi's first high-performance station wagon and as the first RS (Rennsport, German for racing sport) model, which would be later succeeded by other top-ranging performance cars.

Using the platform of the mid-sized Audi 80 Avant wagon, it has a longitudinally mounted front engine and a front axle load of 58% from 3517 lb (1595 kg). It is equipped with a high number of Porsche designed parts including various suspension components, four-piston brakes and 17" Porsche 968 wheels.

Since the RS 2 is also based off the Audi S2 sports coupé, it is powered by a 20-valve inline-five engine with a turbocharger and an intercooler, producing 311 hp (232 kW) at 6000 rpm and 302 ft·lb (409 N·m) at 3000 rpm. Power is sent to a six-speed manual transmission that is coupled to a quattro branded all-wheel drive system with Torsen differentials.[2]

The RS 2 was only available in a limited production run of 2200 units from 1994 to 1995, although it was not exported to the North American market.[3] It was replaced by the 2001 RS 4 Avant.

Performance

The RS 2 Avant only requires 4.7 seconds from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) as well as 13.1 seconds from 0 to 100 mph (161 km/h). It reaches 166 mph (267 km/h) as top speed.
