It is part of the second generation of the RS 5 line, replacing the previous generation Audi RS 5 and weighing 132 lb (60 kg) lighter.
It is fitted with a twin-turbocharged V6 TFSI engine producing 444 hp (331 kW) and 443 ft·lb (601 N·m) of torque, as well as an eight-speed tiptronic automatic transmission, which is shared with the 2018 Audi RS 4.
