Synopsis
The Type D was a Grand Prix race car whose success in state-sponsored motorsport ended when World War II began. It was the successor to the Type C.
It uses a rear mid-mounted 2,986 cc twin-supercharged V12 with 485 hp (362 kW) and 413 ft·lb (560 N·m) available. The car has a weight of 2816 lb (1277 kg), giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 5.81 lb/2.63 kg per horsepower.
