Autozam was a Japanese manufacturer featured in Forza Horizon 5.

Synopsis[]

Idealizing a network of "familiar car shops in your city", Mazda created Autozam, Eunos and ɛ̃fini as part of an expansion of dealerships across Japan. Specialized on compact and kei cars, Autozam manufactured several models based on the Mazda platform, such as the Clef, second-generation Carol and Revue models.

Attempting to build light sports cars, Mazda and Autozam built the AZ-1, which was based on a Suzuki prototype, and the AZ-3, a rebranded Mazda MX-3. Autozam also sold imported Lancia and Autobianchi models to supplement its car lineup.

Despite its intentions to become a popular and cheap option to young buyers, few cars had good sales and the brand was soon considered to be unprofitable. In 1998, most dealerships were changed to "Mazda Autozam store", essentially merging the brand with its parent company, Mazda.[1]
