"It might be an entry-level Bimmer, but the 1 Series M Coupe has the same swagger of all the ultimate driving machines and hangs tough when compared to its much more expensive sibling, the M3. The 1 Series M Coupe, in fact, borrows heavily from the M3, but only where it needs to. The rest it does all on its own."—Official description[1]
The 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe - abbreviated as "BMW 1M" - is a rear-wheel drive sport compact by BMW.
It appears in Forza Motorsport 4 as an Amazon pre-order bonus,[2] although later made available in the Launch Bonus Car Pack.
Since then, it has appeared in all subsequent main series titles, as well as Forza Street. It appears in Forza Motorsport (2023) since Update 8.0.
Synopsis[]
The M Coupe was developed by BMW's performance branch M GmbH to extend its lineup to the compact car segment. Using the chassis from the first generation BMW 1 Series and the twin-turbo inline-six from the BMW Z4 sDrive35is with 335 hp (250 kW), the M Coupe combined the agility of a compact car with the power usually reserved for larger cars.[3]
The M Coupe was produced from 2011 to 2012, and was followed up by the BMW M2 Coupé for the 2016 model year.
