"No, this isn’t somebody’s hack job on an E36 BMW; it is the one of the few true hot hatches BMW has ever built. With a spirited motor capable of nearly 200 hp, as well as trailing arm suspension, the 323ti (Tourismo Internaciaonale, which harkens back to the famous BMW 2002 ti) this shortened 3-series can get as tail happy as you like while still maintaining its poise. Underneath is the E36 chassis, the backbone that has made this model legendary in all forms of motorsport, from drifting to touring car racing. So, make this limited edition model your next club racer or go-to drifter. It’s a well-rounded package that won’t come up short."
—Official description

The 2000 BMW 323ti Sport is a sport compact by BMW that debuted in Forza Motorsport 6 as part of the Turn 10 Summer Car Pack, and is featured in Forza Motorsport 7.

It is also featured in Forza Horizon 3 as a traffic vehicle.

Synopsis

The 323ti Sport is the top-of-the-line model of the BMW Compact, the predecessor to the BMW 1 Series. It was a European market exclusive model with a six-cylinder engine borrowed from the E36 generation BMW 3 Series.

It is based on a shortened BMW E36 platform utilizing the rear semi-trailing arm suspension from the BMW E30, as carrying over the multi-link suspension of the E36 would have limited boot space.[1]

The 2.5 litre M52 series inline-six engine of the 323ti Sport uses four valves per cylinder and VANOS variable valve timing. Its power is rated at 168 hp (125 kW) at 5500 rpm, with torque being rated at 181 ft·lb (245 N·m) at 3950 rpm.

After ending production in 2000, it was replaced by the 325ti from the second generation BMW Compact.
