The 2016 BMW M2 Coupé (F87), also referred to as simply as the BMW M2, is a flagship 2-Series sports car and an indirect successor to the BMW 1 Series M Coupe. It appears in Forza Horizon 3.

The BMW M2 was unveiled in October 2015 and began production in late 2015. It made its world debut at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The BMW M2 uses the 3.0 L (2,979 cc) twin-turbo inline-6 engine (codenamed N55B30T0), with power at 365 HP (370 PS) at 6,500 rpm and torque at 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) at 1,450~4,750 rpm. The BMW M2 can be equipped with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. With the former gearbox, 0-60 mph acceleration takes place in 4.4 seconds; with the latter gearbox, the same acceleration occurs in 4.2 seconds. The M2's initial top speed is 155 mph (250 km/h), but can be raised up to 168 mph (270 km/h) as an option.

Description

"Here is BMW’s recipe for the M2 Coupé. First, take the suspension and braking of the larger M3 and M4 and fit them in a lighter and more nimble chassis. Then, rather than attempting to imitate the bigger brothers’ powerplants, just take the best parts and infuse them perfectly. The result is a rousing sonorous automotive event that will ring all the bells and checks all the boxes. Sometimes good things come in smaller packages, and in the case of the M2 it’s dead true."
