The 1991 BMW M3 - also known as "BMW M3 E30" and abbreviated as "BMW M3 '91" - is a front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car by BMW.
It appears in Forza Motorsport 2 as part of the December Car Pack, and as standard in all subsequent main series titles, as well as in Forza Street.
Synopsis
The E30 M3 is a sports car developed by BMW's M performance division as a homologation model for the Group A racing class. Based on the third generation BMW 3 Series, it was produced for the 1986 to 1991 model years, and replaced by the E36 in 1992.
Platform
The E30 M3 features wider bodywork than regular 3 Series models in order to improve aerodynamics and to accomodate a wider track.
Drivetrain
It is powered by a 2.3 litre high-revving four-cylinder engine, codenamed S14B23, which borrowed several designs from the BMW M1 such as a dual overhead camshafts and individual throttle plates. The S14 engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, and produces 214 hp (160 kW) and 244 ft·lb (331 N·m) of torque.[2]
Variants
Forza Edition
The Forza Edition is an upgraded variant featuring a 20% CR credit boost, plus an extra 20% CR boost for 3 Good Drifts. It comes with a B 545 upgrade preset and a widebody kit.
Unlock
It had been offered to players at any random point via levelling up, and was also available from a bounty event in December. Since the April 2019 update, it has been available for purchase via the Buy Cars menu.
