"The ultimate factory M3 comes with more in all the right departments and less wherever it made sense for a street legal track car. Lightened everywhere conceivable and fully adjustable from the suspension to the rear wing the M3 GTS is a versatile weapon on the track or the open road."
—Official description[1]

Synopsis

The M3 GTS is a track-oriented variant of the 2008 BMW M3. It gets a bigger engine and more power than the standard model and is optimised for motorsport. Aerodynamic features includes a race-oriented front air dam and rear wing. Weight savings include new titanium exhausts extra-light centre console and door linings, the omission of rear seats, automatic air conditioning and an audio system, as well as sound insulation tailored specifically to the car. The colour is BMW Individual Special Fire Orange. Only 150 of the M3 GTS were produced, making it one of the rarest BMW M models ever produced.

It was suceeded by the M4 GTS in 2016.
