"Among the tight competition in the sport touring class, the M6 Coupe holds its own. Astounding acceleration at any speed can be found under the right pedal thanks to the voracious twin-turbo V8 that kicks out 560 horsepower. Torque is felt immediately throughout powerband, so whether you are proving the M6’s worth off the line or disappearing into the sunset all you need do is ask and you shall receive. The 2013 BMW M6 Coupe is a grand tourer by BMW that debuted in Forza Horizon and featured in all subsequent Forza main titles.
It is included in Forza Motorsport 5 as part of the LaFerrari Car Pack and in Forza Horizon 2 as part of the Pre-Order Car Pack.
Synopsis
It is a high-performance grand tourer based on the BMW 6 Series. It was first introduced for the 2012 model year to replace the 2010 M6.
The M6 Coupe shares its 4.4L (4,395 cc) S63 twin-turbocharged V8 engine and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with the BMW M5 sports saloon. It uses a carbon fiber roof and other weight-reduction measures, making it 44 lb (20 kg) lighter than the M5.
Performance
Thanks to its powerful twin-turbo V8 engine, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.1 seconds and tops out at 208 mph (335 km/h). Torque is immediately felt throughout the powerband, and while the car is very heavy at 4255 lb (1930 kg), it still features adequate handling for winding roads.
Forza Edition
The Forza Edition is a special variant in Forza Horizon 4 that can be won as a Wheelspin prize. It has a Drift Skills boost and an S1 class upgrade preset.
Unlock
It is primarily unlockable as a Wheelspin prize, but has also been made available as a seasonal reward once:
- Seasonal Championship reward - Series 22 Winter Season
