"BMW’s first all-electric hatchback has to be a car to be remembered for ages. Of course, the 2022 BMW i4 eDrive40 lives up to that test. Not only does it come with the familiar BMW look we all love seeing, the car drives like a true heir of the BMW racing legacy. Keeping what is considered tradition in the line, the i4 is a rear-wheel drive car propelled by an electric engine capable of putting in 335 bhp and sparking a 0 – 100 km/h time of 4.07 seconds. Even though this is considered BMW’s entry level EV, it does not shy away from the speed and precision we are used to seeing from the Bavarian manufacturer."—Official description[1]
The 2023 BMW i4 eDrive40 - abbreviated as "BMW i4 '22" - is a rear-engine, rear-wheel drive electric 4-door saloon manufactured by BMW.
It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 25.
Synopsis[]
The 2023 BMW i4 (model code G26) is an electrified model offered for 4 Series and adopts BMW's "gran coupe" body style[2] and is the automaker's first electric hatchback to be produced. It was unveiled in spring 2021 and went into production in November 2021.[3]
Drivetrain[]
It boasts a single electric motor mounted to the rear axle, which generates 335 hp (250 kW) and 317 ft·lb (430 N·m) of torque, and adopts a rear-wheel drivetrain. BMW claims that the eDrive40 can reach 60 mph (97 km/h) in 5.7 seconds.[4]
There is also an M variant of the i4, the M50, fitted with an electric motor on each axle, providing an all-wheel drivetrain. It produces 536 hp (400 kW) and 586 ft·lb (795 N·m) of torque, reducing the 0-60 mph (97 km/h) time down to under 4 seconds.[5]
