Manufacturer Page Redesign
Hi all, I want to suggest some changes to the manufacturer pages.
I've been thinking about merging the gallery and car lists sections by moving car images to the first column of the vehicles table. On small pages like the Triumph article, combining both would tidy up the page a bit, while on larger pages like the BMW article, readers don't have to scroll down to the gallery each time they want to see how a certain car looks like.
I've also been thinking of changing the headers of the table. Rather than specifiying data similar to in-game menus by Drive, Power, Torque, Weight Front and Disp, which could change for the next generation Forza titles for all we know, the manufacturer pages should use data shared with the CarInfobox template on car…

UCAS Struggles...
Recently I've been struggling to find the time to make proper edits due to having so much time being consumed by UCAS exams, but luckily I only have a couple more spread over the next month before I can get back in the swing of things all the way until A-Level mocks in January/February!
Back to work...
Unfortunatly I (like many others across the country) am going back to school tomorrow, meaning the total amount of time I spend on the wiki will be significantly reduced, but I will still work on many small scale progects during the term time and leave larger, more time consuming ones until the holidays.

The Comeback
After spending some time away from the wiki, I have made my return!
Over the last year I have matured as a person and have realised both how my past contributions could have been considered unhelpful/unnecessary and the importance of double checking work and viewing the preview before uploading.
I hope now that I can assert myself as a highly valued member of this community and can help improve everyone's experiences here on the wiki.

Originally, I was rather turned off by the location as I was one of those who really wanted this game to be set in Japan. Seeing more and more gameplay, I can say that I am really looking forward to experience the changing seasons of "beautiful historic Britain". One thing that I am rather bummed about is the character customization; I would've liked more character options than the ones they showed off (which are simply the characters from FH3, ported to FH4). The Problems with Forza Motorsport 7's Exclusive Cars and Car Collection Systems
It has only been 138 days (at the time of writing this) since Forza Motorsport 7 came out for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, and it has surely received moderate to strong criticism for how it executed its Exclusive Cars and Car Collection systems. While I have been VERY critical of both systems, I was not able to voice my opinion about them until today.
Given my experience with Forza Motorsport 7, it has been both a good and awfully disappointing experience to me. IMSA Announces Partnership with Turn 10 Studios
IMSA has announced a partnership with Turn 10 Studios, developer of Forza Motorsport, whose latest entry is Forza Motorsport 7, released on October 3, 2017.
Quoting ManteoMax from the forums:
- This could possibly lead to an IMSA DLC or an IMSA Expansion, which will bring forth a lot of the newest race cars that Forza fans have been requesting, like the 650S GT3, 488 GT3/GTE, etc.

Updating Old Cars to Newer, Better Variants
I created this page following the YouTube comments I have seen from a user whose name goes along the lines of Simeon Yves, whose comments can be seen here.
Normally, as the years pass, a car like the Huracán or Agera gets newer, better variants, which usually appear in other racing games like Project CARS and Gear·Club (which has the 675LT). However, Forza has been falling behind on this aspect, often resorting to recycling outdated models on the basis since this strategy would be more cost-effective (remember that it takes 6 months for Turn 10 to get a car into the game, down from the licensing to the scanning, modeling, scripting, and actually getting the car in the game; it also takes a fair bit of money in the process). Hot Wheels Expansion
For those that may not have been around at the time or have forgotten one of the gaming gems of the late 90s!
Forza Horizon 3's Hot Wheels Expansion looks like it was made with the involvement of someone that had a picture of me on their desk, and said - "Let's make something he'd be excited for because no-one is capitalising on a remaster of Turbo Racing".
I'm looking forward to this one! Hopefully, some of the soundtrack will come with it.
Dear T10 and PG, would you please add the McLaren P1 GTR to FH3?
Why is it that T10 and PG added almost every single road-legal car from the FM6 DLC car packs into FH3, but they overlooked the McLaren P1 GTR? How could they possibly forget that car, especially with the Vulcan, FXX K, and Zonda R being in the game now (despite the latter being not yet playable for everyone outside of Developer Mode on PC)? FM7 is only about 5-8 months away, so why don't T10 and PG make good use of this time to add missing cars from FM6 into FH3, especially the P1 GTR? I mean, if the FXX K, Vulcan, Sesto Elemento, 599XX, Zonda R, and F50 GT (the latter two of which are not yet released but are already in the game files) are in FH3, why would T10 and PG overlook the beloved McLaren P1 GTR? Converting PNG images to JPGs?
For conversion of 1920x1080 PNG images to JPG images, if you are on a computer, use IrfanView (you can download online). Take the image you want to convert to JPG and make sure these options are selected:
- Save Quality: 80
- Disable chroma color subsampling (use 1x1 blocks)
- Keep original EXIF data (if JPG to JPG)
- Keep original IPTC data
- Keep original JPG-Comment
- Keep original XMP data
The resulting image should be visually identical to the original PNG version, but with a much lower file size. The Ferrari F40 picture in this article, in PNG format, originally came out as 4 MB, but when converted to JPG format using IrfanView with these options selected, the final file size comes out as 416 KB. I have looked at the CSS and it turns out I have a new idea: a font change. I would like to use the fonts in FM6 and FH3. However, the problem is, I don't know the names for any one of them!
If they don't work, then we can either stay with the current font or use whatever fonts are normally available.

Forza Wikia - 2016 and Forward!
This wikia has been around for over 8 years, and has sadly not seen a great deal of direction over those years. Many articles are disjointed, others are nothing more than a sentence, and others have been made without any form of established style guide.
By the end of this year, we'll want for there to be an established style for created car articles. Newer articles contain more worthwhile content, but sadly still repeat many of the mistakes of our older content. There are too many stubs in these articles and it's reflecting negatively.

By now, you should recognize that I am the only user who is making regular edits here. It's become barren, especially after CMAN122 was last seen here in late April 2016. As of April 2016, there are no more active admins/moderatos. I have been converting pages to my new format, which will be added to the Manual of Style. I have also applied for adopting the wiki, and as soon as I get promoted, I will revamp the whole wiki to a new look (something similar to the Asphalt Wiki) and continue converting pages to the new format.
The car pages should not omit the manufacturer in the page name at all. This is a practice I see far too often, and I have been averting it (e.g. 1997 F1 GT → McLaren F1 GT). In some cases, the year name should be in pare…

Vintage League Missing in Multiplayer forza 5
I got forza 5 Motorsports for about a few weeks and been playing the usual A- Class events on multiplayer and here what really disappointments about the game aside from having Exciting Visuals.
They have only three leagues in multiplayer and they are listed as modern Grand Prix, Indy car Prix and Rally legends but it's strange why their is more leagues in campaign and not in the multiplayer aspect.
Let's say for example your a vintage car fan that cares about driving nothing other than muscle cars and you have your A-Class Buick Regal GNX with a gear ratio of 3.08 along with acceleration/Deceleration at a 78% for both of them and all of a sudden you enter multiplayer and nobody I mean nobody loves muscle cars at A Class.

Is Forza Motorsport 5 the Best Next Gen Launch Title
With the hullabaloo of the next generation console launch pretty much over, we’ve had some time to sit down with the launch games and actually play them. The overall quality of the launch games is patchy, but if I had to pick my favorite, it’d be Forza Motorsport 5. That accolade comes with a huge disclaimer of course; I’m a major car geek and I've got a soft spot for racing games.
