A Car Meet, also known as the Horizon Car Meet, is a type of gathering where players, both human and Drivatars, show up with their cars to showcase them. It is a game mechanic seen in Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Horizon 3.

Forza Horizon 2[]

Introduced sometime in the game after unlocking Nice Massena, Forza Horizon 2 has six Car Meets, one for each city: Nice, Sisteron, Saint-Martin, San Giovanni, Montellino, and Castelletto.

At the Car Meet, players can showcase their cars and designs. The A button selects a car, B brings up a confirmation dialog asking if the player wants to exit the Car Meet, pressing the View button takes the player to the "My Car" dialog prompt with three options (change car, tune car, and change assists), and the left and right buttons on the D-pad cycle through the available radio stations in the game. Right trigger (RT) shows the available players in the car meet. When a car is highlighted, its current rank is shown along with the owner's gamertag, the club they are in (if any), and their current driver level.

When a car is selected, the player can press right trigger (RT) to rev the car. View changes the camera to a free looking one and back to the normal one. If possible, the player can buy the car selected and get its tune or design. If the player's car is selected, neither of these options show up. The selected car's PI is shown, along with any changes from the stock PI.

Car Meets can have up to 12 cars in it, including the player's.

When starting up the game, the player always starts at the nearest Car Meet. For example, if the player was at the Aérodrome when upon quitting the game, when they start up their game, they will be placed at the Saint-Martin Car Meet. Also, any rainy weather in progress will immediately change to a post-rain weather.

The Super Meet Boy achievement is unlocked by grabbing a livery and a tuning setup, buying a car, and entering a Showdown at any Car Meet.

Forza Horizon 3[]

The Forza Horizon 3 rendition of the Car Meet has been changed, but its basic premise remains the same. Unlike the previous game, there is now only one Car Meet, the Air Field Car Meet, located at the Redstone Airport in the Outback. Also, when starting up the game, the player now always starts at a Festival Hub instead of the Car Meet.

As it is located on an airstrip, the Car Meet is now where players can challenge other players to online drag races.
