"One way to look at the 2016 Camaro in Super Sport dress is as a hybrid. No, we’re not talking about an electric powerplant; instead, we’re referring to its platform and chassis, which is shared with the Cadillac ATS as well as the Chevy Corvette powertrain that has been combined with its own suspension. That suspension utilizes the impossible to pronounce but easy to appreciate “magnetorheological adjustable dampers.” The package delivers a deep improvement over the already incredible ride that those who have driven a fifth-generation Camaro have come to expect. The retro-body style is now in its seventh year but a close look will reveal a few new creases to define the new model. Overall, the car is slightly smaller on the outside and 200 pounds lighter. Take this pony out for a run to discover what makes this the best Camaro yet."—Official description[1]
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport - abbreviated as "Chevy Camaro '16" - is a rear-wheel drive sports car by Chevrolet.
It appears in Forza Motorsport 6 as part of the Hot Wheels Car Pack and in all subsequent Motorsport titles, as well as in Forza Horizon 3.
It was featured in Forza Motorsport 7 as a Bounty Hunter reward for October 2017, but has been made available as standard.
Synopsis[]
The sixth-generation Camaro SS is a sport variation of the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro produced from 2015 onwards. It uses the 6.2L V8 from the C7 Corvette Stingray.
The new-generation Chevrolet Camaro SS features the 6.2L (6,162 cc) naturally aspirated LT1 V8 from the C7 Corvette Stingray, downtuned to produce 455 hp (339 kW) and 455 ft·lb (617 N·m) of torque. The car is built on the Cadillac ATS platform and chassis, modified to use magnetorheological adjustable dampers.
Appearance-wise, the sixth-generation Camaro is a refresh of the 2014-2015 versions of the fifth-generation Camaro, with a new rear wing and taillights inspired by the C7 Corvette.
