The 1970 Chevron B16 is a rear-wheel drive race car by Chevron.

It appears in Forza Motorsport (2023) since Update 9.0.

Synopsis[]

Built in 1969 by Chevron Cars, the B16 is a two-seater sports car designed by Derek Bennett, founder of Chevron. A successor to the B8 race car, it was developed to meet FIA Group 4 sports car class requirements in order to compete in the European 2-Litre Sports Car Championship for Makes.

Featuring an aluminium chassis, a fiberglass reinforced plastic body and double wishbone suspension, the B16 driven by British driver Brian Redman won the 1969 500 km (310.7 miles) of Nürburgring and set the fastest lap of 8:40.4 minutes at its first race.

While initially powered by a 1.6-liter Ford Cosworth FVA engine, it was replaced by a 2.0-liter BMW M10 inline-four engine, which paired to a Hewland 5-speed, produces 220 hp (164 kW) at 7800 rpm and 150 ft·lb (203 N·m) of torque at 6630 rpm.[1]
