"With its retro-futuristic lines and performance that will take you from zero to “whoa” in a handful of seconds, the Chryslus Rocket ‘69 is a unique addition to any car collection featuring a custom Forzavista experience that details its history and lets players check out its features in astonishing detail."
—Official description[1]

The 2069 Chryslus Rocket 69 is a fictional sports car based on the Chryslus Cherry Bomb from Fallout 4 - a post-apocalyptic action game by Bethesda Studios. It appears in Forza Motorsport 6.

Synopsis

The Chryslus Rocket 69 has a design optimized for aerodynamics and is advertised on billboards as "The first car to break the sound barrier" in Fallout 4. The single-seater Rocket 69 features a low profile, a boat-like wedged front, and seats just one person under a glass dome. The Rocket 69 appears to be controlled with a joystick and a single large screen appears in place of the usual gauges, with the steering referencing that of the 1959 Firebird 3 concept car.

The Rocket 69 features an extremely high-revving, 1000 hp (746 kW) atomic V8 of an unknown displacement with a torque rating of 737 ft·lb (1000 N·m). The car uses a single-speed transmission driving all four wheels. With a weight of 4830 lb (2191 kg), the Rocket 69 is considerably heavier than most cars and has a power-to-weight ratio of 456 hp (340 kW) per tonne.

Performance

The Rocket 69, owing to its size, weight, and long wheelbase, suffers from severe understeer, sluggish acceleration, and underwhelming braking. The only meriting performance aspect of the Rocket 69 is its extremely high top speed of 263 mph (424 km/h), which places it as one of the fastest cars in the series, outclassing the likes of the Koenigsegg Agera, but it can only reach or get close to that top speed on Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe due to its acceleration through a single gear.

Upgrading the Rocket 69 can help improve handling, braking, and acceleration, although it still has inferior handling to support its high top speed and heavy weight.
