"Built to fulfil the production requirements of the World Rally Championship, the 1986 Citroen BX 4TC’s commercial version puts the thrill of rally performance at your reach. An iron casted 2.1-liter engine with straight 4 cylinders powered this production version to achieve a top speed of 220 kmh and reach a 0-100 kmh time of 7.5 seconds. The 4TC also featured Citroën’s iconic hydropneumatic suspension system. Only 62 units of this car were produced, so not only are you getting rally heritage, you’ll also be adding a real-life rarity to your collection."—Official description[1]
The 1986 Citroën BX 4TC - abbreviated as "Citroën BX4TC" - is a front-engine, all-wheel drive rally car by Citroën.
It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 34.
Synopsis[]
The road-going BX 4TC was built in order to meet World Rally Championship's homologation for Group B. It required the manufacture and sale of at least 200 road versions to the public, for which only 86 units made their way to private hands.[2]
Its main feature is the hydro-pneumatic suspension for which Citroën had been known since the DS models.
Because of the lack of success of its Group B variant and the poor sales due to its inferior performance for a sports car, Citroën ended the BX 4TC project and dismantled all units at the factory and dealerships. Only around 40 units still exist, with most of them kept in private collections.
Performance[]
The production variant is powered by a Chrysler-Simca 2.1-liter turbocharged DOHC inline-four engine, and paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, delivers 200 hp (149 kW) and a maximum torque of 300 ft·lb (407 N·m).[3]
