"The Dodge Demon really had no reason to be produced beyond making gearheads the world over grin with unabashed glee. The Demon has claimed the title of fastest 0-100 mph production car in the world. It makes for the perfect movie Mopar for Dominic Toretto, since out of the box it can destroy the quarter-mile in less than 10 seconds. While based on the Challenger model, there is little left of the original by the time the chassis is imbued with its Demon heart. The 840 horsepower from the optional crate package (808 stock) are supported by the Demon’s amazing drivetrain and suspension that help get all that power to the pavement. Burnouts are of course second nature, but given proper technique, this monster will launch like a Saturn rocket down any straight brazen enough to challenge it."—Official description[1]
The 2018 Dodge Demon Fast & Furious Edition - abbreviated as "Dodge Demon FF" - is a custom variant of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.
It appears in Forza Motorsport 7 as part of The Fate of the Furious Car Pack.
Synopsis[]
The Fast & Furious Edition is the Forza depiction of Dominic Toretto's car from the 2017 action movie The Fate of the Furious.
The Demon is powered by an upgraded 6.2 liter Hemi V8 engine from the Hellcat with a 2.7 liter supercharger that generates 14.5 psi (0.99 bar) of boost, resulting in 840 hp (626 kW) at 6300 rpm and 770 ft·lb (1044 N·m) of torque at 4500 rpm. In order to supply the engine with sufficent amount of air, the Demon is equipped with the world's largest functional hood scoop that takes in up to 1,150 cu ft of air per minute, yet another record for production cars.
As the Demon was purpose-built for drag racing, it uses specially designed Nitto drag radials with a massive width of 315 mm[2] that are accomodated by widened fenders.
Despite its widebody, the Demon weighs 4248 lb (1927 kg), which is 190 lb (86 kg) less than from the narrower bodied Hellcat. Although this value only applies to models with a stripped-out interior in real life, it is still true for the car's appearance in Forza Motorsport 7, where it is featured with a fully equipped interior.[3]
Performance[]
Packing an 840 hp engine - making it the most powerful muscle car in production - and fitted with custom tires, the Demon is capable of a 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) time in 2.3 seconds and a quarter mile time of 9.65 seconds, both of which are officially claimed to be fastest times for production cars.
