"At the heart of this road-devouring snake is a totally refined all-aluminum, mid-engine, 8.4 liter V10 delivering a class-topping 640 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. It’s utterly contemporary in its design, and the 2013 Viper’s gorgeous lines are at once sophisticated and hostile—form and function meeting in a sweet spot of automotive aggression. In short, the 2013 Viper’s stunning design will turn heads and its powerful performance will make sure those heads turn very, very quickly."—Official description[1]
The 2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS - abbreviated as "Dodge Viper '13" and previously referred to as "SRT Viper GTS" and "Viper GTS" - is a rear-wheel drive supercar by Dodge, SRT[2] and Viper[3].
It appears in Forza Motorsport 4 as part of the SRT Viper Bonus Pack and as standard in all subsequent main series titles.
Synopsis[]
The Viper GTS is part of the Phase VX series, the last model generation of the Dodge Viper.
Characteristic for Dodge Viper models, the Viper GTS is fitted with an odd firing V10 engine boasting an all-aluminum construction and enormous displacement of 8.4 liters (8,383 cc). It outputs 640 hp (477 kW) and 600 ft·lb (813 N·m) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed Tremec TR-6060 manual transmission.

Trivia[]
- It is the cover car of Forza Horizon.
- The Series 14 Summer Season in Forza Horizon 4 features the "Horizon Anniversary" Forzathon Weekly Challenge for the Viper GTS.
- In Forza Horizon, users who have played both the demo and full releases of the game before October 31, 2012 were gifted a Viper GTS with a custom "Gone Gold 2012" livery.
- In titles prior to Forza Horizon 2, the SRT Viper GTS omits the "SRT" in its name and instead has "Viper" as the manufacturer. Since Forza Horizon 4, it is listed as a "Dodge".
- In Forza Horizon 3, its 8.4L V10 engine can be swapped into a large number of non-European cars, which receive the 5.2L V10 from the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 instead.
- Two exceptions to this rule include the 2017 Acura NSX and Cadillac ATS-V. The former car uses the 5.2L V10 as an option, while the latter car has both engines available as options.
