Description[]
"In 1964, racing legend Dan Gurney formed All American Racers (AAR) – known as Anglo American Racers in the UK – with financial backing from Goodyear Tire and Rubber. AAR’s goal was simple – to win both Grand Prix and Champ Car (known today as IndyCar) races. In an era of racing dominated by Firestone, Goodyear’s motivation was clear. Together with Gurney, Carroll Shelby and other notable racing figures, Goodyear built a team to compete on the twisting circuits of Formula 1 and the ovals of Champ Car. The cars were powered by Coventry Climax and British Weslake engines. The Eagle TG1, driven by Gurney, is one of only three cars in Formula One history to be driven to victory by its builder and has been referred to as one of the most beautiful Grand Prix cars ever raced."—forzamotorsport.net[1]
