"Paradoxically considered an “entry-level Ferrari”, this car toes the line between modern super car and high-end sports car, while still costing something like $250,000 to own. Named for the Italian village of Portofino, this car is packing a 3.9 Twin Turbo V8 that outputs 590 hp. It serves as a successor to the commercially-minded Ferrari California, meant to be faster, lighter and more stylish."
—Official description[1]

The 2018 Ferrari Portofino is a rear-wheel drive open-top grand tourer by Ferrari.

It appears in Forza Horizon 4 since Update 21 and in all subsequent main series titles.

Synopsis[]

The Ferrari Portofino was unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show as the successor to the 2014 Ferrari California T. It began production in 2018, and is named after an Italian fishing village popular by tourists and celebrities.

Platform[]

Similar to the California T, the Portofino is based on a front-mid engine, rear-wheel drive platform with a rear-biased weight distribution. Despite slightly larger dimensions and torsional rigidity increased by 35%,[2] weight has been reduced by 149 lb (68 kg) to 3669 lb (1664 kg).

Drivetrain[]

The twin-turbocharged V8 engine and seven-speed dual clutch gearbox were largely carried over from its predecessor. Codenamed F154, the engine produces 591 hp (441 kW) at 7500 rpm, yielding an increase of 37 hp (28 kW)[3] and greater power-to-weight ratio than before.
