"The 2020 Ferrari Roma can be described with just two words: Style and Speed. The timeless and elegant design on the Roma conceals a powerful 3.8-liter turbo V8 engine capable of producing 620 CV. Aerodynamics were an integral part of this vehicle’s design: an active rear wing increases downforce and allows drivers to take corners quickly without losing an ounce of style, and the entire body of the car allows creates low drag when taking off. 70% of the Roma’s components are completely new and designed to improve the power-to-weight ratio making it one of the best of its class. 0-60mph will take you only 3.4 seconds, making the 2020 Ferrari Roma a must have for drivers who love to look good when going fast."
—Official description[1]

The 2020 Ferrari Roma is a rear-wheel drive grand tourer manufactured by Ferrari.

It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of the Italian Exotics Car Pack and in Forza Motorsport (2023).

Synopsis[]

Although based on the Portofino, the Roma is placed between the Portofino and the F8 Tributo in Ferrari's range of sports cars. It was first revealed online on November 13, 2019[2][3], and later unveiled the next day in Rome, the Italian capital city its name is derived from[4][5].

It is powered by the award-winning Ferrari type F154 engine, a 3.9-litre (3,855 cc) turbocharged V8 with a dual overhead cam (DOHC) design and mounted 90-degrees. Overall, it is rated at 612 hp (456 kW) between 5,750 to 7,500 rpm and produces up to 561 ft·lb (760 N·m) of torque between 3,000 to 5,750 rpm.

The forced induction air intake system uses twin parallel water cooled turbochargers and two air-to-air intercoolers. The dry sump lubrication system helps prevent oil starvation during high g-force operation.[6]

The engine is mated to the new 8-speed dual-clutch F1 transmission shared with the SF90 Stradale and can translate power into more acceleration through the intermediate gears with an extended tall top gear for motorway cruising. Ferrari says there is 15 percent more longitudinal pull in third gear when compared to the previous generation's 7-speed unit[7]. The transaxle is equipped with an electronic differential and a mechanical reverse gear which contrasts to the SF90's electric motor reverse. This design weighs 13 lb (6 kg) less than the 7-speed unit used in the Portofino and is claimed to provide quicker and smoother shifting. Much of the weight savings is due to the dry sump design and the primary alloy oil case that is compact and wrapped tightly around the various engine components[8].
