It appears in all main series titles.
Synopsis[]
The F40 was designed to celebrate Ferrari's 40th anniversary, and replaced the Ferrari 288 GTO.
It served a double purpose as being Ferrari's answer to the Porsche 959 showing a radically different, more bare-bones approach to the modern supercar, and as the first production car to break the 201 mph (323 km/h) barrier.
It was replaced by the Ferrari F50 in 1995.
Drivetrain[]
Codenamed F120A, its engine is an enlarged, 2.9L (2,936 cc) variation of the 288 GTO's twin-turbocharged V8 engine, with the power at 478 hp (356 kW) and torque at 424 ft·lb (575 N·m).
Platform[]
Its design was an entirely new creation by Pininfarina through the use of kevlar, carbon fiber, and aluminum, as well as plastic windows and windshield for a lightweight construction.
