"This is one set of headlights you do not want to see coming up behind you. However, it is also one set of wheels that you do want to drive. Available with a proper bumper bar, search lights and light bar, this is your Forza Horizon cop car. The Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (FCVPI) is the most widely used vehicle by law enforcement for years due to the durability of it’s rear-wheel-drive and body-on-frame construction. The Crown Vic is built to take the abuse of pursuit operations and day-to-day enforcement duty or even taxi-service. Whether you prefer to chase or be chased, this is an addition to the world of Forza that many fans have been waiting for."—Official description[1]
The 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor - abbreviated as "FCVPI" or "Crown Victoria" - is a rear-wheel drive full-size car by Ford.
It appears in Forza Horizon 3 as part of the The Smoking Tire Car Pack, and in all subsequent Horizon series titles, as well as Forza Motorsport 7.
Synopsis[]
The Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (CVPI) is a special production model based on the second generation Crown Victoria for law enforcement use. Due to its reliability, the CVPI has been widely used by both the law enforcement and taxicab companies in North America.[2] The CVPI was produced under the P71 chassis code; the model appearing in Forza is a P7B, the chassis code for the CVPI's final model years.
Engine and drivetrain[]
The CVPI is powered by a 4.6 liter V8 engine producing 250 hp (186 kW) and 297 ft·lb (403 N·m) of torque that is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
Platform[]
It is based on the Panther platform, which provides a body-on-frame chassis using a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout. With a weight of 4057 lb (1840 kg), the CVPI is the heaviest Retro Muscle car in every Horizon game it has appeared in, although it is almost tied with the Chevrolet Impala Super Sport in Forza Horizon 4, which weighs 4037 lb (1831 kg).

- It can be equipped with police equipment, including spotlights, a lightbar, and pushbars. There is only one design for each available.
- In Horizon 3, the lightbar flashes constantly and does not allow for the player to toggle it.
- In Horizon 4. the lightbar was not functional prior to Update 19.
- In Horizon 3 and Motorsport 7, spotlights will turn on in conditions which require headlamps if they are equipped.
- The "Release The Beast" challenge for the "Chase Down Victory" Forzathon event in Horizon 3 required the player to win a Street Race in a Crown Victoria.
