It’s beefy enough to handle a healthy dose of supercharging and the performance internals bolted up by SVT for a total of 10 horsepower per liter, an impressive figure by any standard. Forward progress is swift, with 100 mph coming up in well under 10 seconds. The GT500’s handling is as state-of-the-art as a live rear axle can get, with rear suspension utilizing the Panhard rod, three-trailing link design pioneered on the Cobra R a decade earlier. Synopsis[]
As part of the facelifted fifth-generation Ford Mustang from 2010 to 2014, the 2010 Shelby GT500 is a visually and mechanically updated version of the 2007 Shelby GT500, with a more modern appearance and a more powerful supercharged V8 producing 540 hp (403 kW).
It received an update in 2013 with some visual changes and an upgraded engine that displaces 5.8L and produces 662 hp (494 kW); the 2013 Shelby GT500 appears in all main series titles from Forza Horizon onwards.
