The Festival Playlist in Forza Horizon 5 is a monthly rotating selection of challenges set by the Horizon Festival for players to beat and earn rewards. It is unlocked upon the player completing an expedition offered through the Horizon Adventure, and can be accessed within the "Festival Playlist" option under the "Campaign" section of the pause menu.
It offers points (PTS), as well as rewards, to players through their participation and completion of challenges offered during each season of a Series. A Series is a cycle of four seasons, with each season being active for a week and amounting for each Series lasting four weeks in total.
The total number of available points, challenges, and rewards differs between Series and seasons, although each Series and season includes two completion rewards offered to players by reaching certain amounts of accumulated points.
Players can only complete challenges offered during each individual season of a Series whilst it is active. A season is active for seven days with each reset at 14:30 (UTC) every Thursday. A Series is active for twenty-eight days in seasonal order from the beginning of Summer, through Autumn and Winter, with progression into the next Series occurring at the end of Spring.
Rewards offered alongside points include prizes such as hard-to-find cars, exclusive cars, credits, emotes, Forza LINK phrases, car horns, and avatar clothing.

The selection of challenges offered is split into four categories for each season.
Forzathon Events
Forzathon Events are are a series of weekly and daily challenges that reward players for Forza Points (FP), which can be spent in the Horizon Forzathon Shop.
The Weekly Challenge has four chapters and typically relates to owning a certain car or a car within a certain car type. With the completion of a chapter, the next chapter is unlocked. Upon completing the fourth challenge, the player is rewarded with 80 Forza Points and 5 points towards its associated Series.
The Daily Challenges include seven challenges, of which each challenge becomes available each day at 14:30 (UTC), and each can only be completed within a week upon becoming available, even after a season has expired. Completing each challenge rewards a single point towards its associated Series.
Players can also access the Horizon Forzathon Shop in the Forzathon Events category. Within the shop, they can redeem any listed items with their acquired Forza Points.
Season Events
Season Events are a series of event type, PR stunt, or championship challenges requiring players to participate using certain car types and within a specified Performance Index rating.
Completing events rewards players with points towards its associated season and Series, with some offering additional rewards in the form of prizes.
- Horizon Arcade: Co-opetition events against other players in the open-world.
- The Trial: A matchmade co-operative championship against Unbeatable rated Drivatars.
- EventLab: Custom player generated game modes and courses.
- Playground Games: A matchmade best-of-three playoff between two teams in objective-based games.
- PR Stunt: Three Speedtrap, Speed Zone, Drift Zone, Trail Blazer, or Danger Sign targets.
- Seasonal Championship: A single-player or co-operative championship against Average rated Drivatars.
- Horizon Open: A matchmade co-operative championship against Average rated Drivatars.
Challenges
Challenges are a series of specific goals, targets, or scenarios requiring players to participate in finding treasure, reaching targets, or meeting outlined requirements.
Completing Challenges rewards players with points towards its associated season and Series, with some offering additional rewards in the form of prizes.
- Treasure Hunt: Solve and complete a treasure clue.
- Photo Challenge: Capture an image of a car, location, scenario, or setting through Horizon Promo.
- Horizon Open: Complete a challenge in player-vs-player multiplayer.
- The Eliminator: Complete a challenge in The Eliminator.
- Collectibles: Collect a certain number of a specified item.
Monthly Events
Monthly Events are a selection of events offered in each season of a Series but their completion is counted for all four seasons of a Series. Completing a Monthly Event in a later season of a Series counts as a completion in any expired seasons of that Series.
Completing Monthly Events rewards players with points towards its associated Series.
