  • Fixed an issue causing some players to disconnect after finishing a Featured Multiplayer race.
  • Fixed an issue causing RPMs to momentarily spike higher than expected when downshifting.
  • Fixed an issue causing unintended camera shake when understeering.
  • Fixed an issue where a player in second place could get a crash when the player in first place changed their car during the Practice race of a series event.

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when selecting a car in multiplayer races.
  • Fixed a crash that could happen after finishing a Featured Multiplayer race.

Tracks[]

This update introduces numerous fixes to two existing tracks: Catalunya and Hockenheim. To accommodate these changes, leaderboards for both tracks and their individual layouts have been reset.

Catalunya[]

  • Fixed several instances of objects popping into the player’s view across various areas of the track.
  • Fixed an issue with a ghosted sign collision across the track overpass.
  • Fixed an issue with missing geometry on the track rumble strip.
  • Fixed an issue where players could bump into an invisible collision on the track.

Hockenheim[]

  • Fixed an issue where the collision zone for a concrete barrier was misaligned.
  • Fixed several instances of objects popping into the player’s view across various areas of the track.
  • Fixed an issue where the collision zone for a rumble strip placed shortly after the start line had a chance to egregiously lift the car in an unnatural manner.
  • Updated instances of low-resolution vegetation across the track environment.

AI[]

  • Improved AI merging smoothly into/out of pit lanes.
  • Fixed an issue where AI would frequently go off track when alongside the player car.
  • Fixed an issue where the AI would drive into the wall before the player gained control in practice on Eaglerock Speedway (Oval).

UI[]

  • Fixed an issue where the game could crash while changing tabs quickly in the "Find Designs" menu.
  • Fixed an issue where game crashes when player mashes the X button while loading into Recommended Designs and attempting to open the Report Content submenu.
  • Fixed an issue where car thumbnails flicker when navigating in the My Cars and Select Car menus.
  • Enabled Tire wear scalar visibility in the Fuel & Tire menu in Featured Multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Leisure Cruise” achievment not unlocking for some players despite meeting the criteria.
  • Fixed an issue where attempting to import liveries from previous titles in the My Designs menu will sometimes cause the game to crash.
  • Updated the description for Tire Wear settings in Free Play and Private Multiplayer.

PC[]

  • We have fixed an issue where shift times could be slightly different based on your PC’s FPS refresh rate. The Forza Motorsport community was extremely helpful in providing data that allowed us to home in on the problem. We had an issue in our code where our shifting state machine was not being updated in our inner-most simulation update code. We moved the shifting state machine to the inner-most (high frequency) part of our update, as well as ensuring that our high-frequency update is running at a consistent frequency across various framerates on PC. We were able to run automated benchmark code to time our cars 60-150MPH at various framerates and framerate ranges – with and without the fix – to validate the problem and the fix.
  • The VRAM Estimator in PC settings has been made much more accurate. Players should review their settings after Update 9 is downloaded to verify that they’re not using too much VRAM. This is particularly true for players with GPUs that have 4-8 GB of VRAM because some settings can push usage over the limit.
  • There is now an option to disable TAA completely on PC. This option is for players who prefer to use their own form of driver-level anti-aliasing. Find the new setting in the Display tab.
  • Fixed a bug allowing players on PCs with poor performance to gain a time advantage over other players.
  • An option to enable or disable Motion Blur in cockpit view has been added to the PC settings menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the player is unable to reboot after changing their game settings using controller or keyboard.[1]
