Ginetta is a British car manufacturer featured in Forza Motorsport (2023) and Forza Horizon 5.

Synopsis[]

Ginetta Cars Limited was founded in 1958 by the Walklett brothers, Bob, Ivor, Trevers and Douglas Walklett, who would act as managing director, designer, stylist and mechanical engineer respectively for the company. Based in Suffolk, the first product Ginetta would produce was the Fairlite, a fiberglass kit car intended to fit Ford 8Y and C Ten chassis from the 1930s; they would later move to the production of specially-designed lightweight racing and sports cars, which is what they are known for today.

The company moved to Essex in 1962 before moving back to Suffolk in 1972 and relocating back to Essex two years later; the company moved to Lincolnshire in 1988 in search of bigger operating premises, with the Walkletts selling the company to Martin Phaff in 1989 and retiring. Following a period of financial trouble during Phaff's leadership, the company was sold to Lawrence Tomlinson in 2005, who continues to operate the company today. The company acquired low-volume sports car manufacturer Farbio in 2010.
