Homestead-Miami Speedway - also known as simply "Homestead" - is a motor racing track located in Homestead, Florida. It appears in Forza Motorsport 6 as part of the NASCAR Expansion and in all subsequent Motorsport series titles.

Description[]

"Born in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew, which devastated the area in 1992, Homestead-Miami Speedway was built as part of the region’s reconstruction. The original layout was a rectangular oval modeled after Indianapolis Motor Speedway. However, due to the track’s shorter length (about 1.5 miles) passing was difficult and made for dangerous crash angles. After attempts to widen the aprons did not resolve the problems, Homestead received a massive reconfiguration in 1997, turning the track into a true oval. Further renovations such as improved banking and lighting for night racing have made it not only a fan favorite, but the home of the NASCAR championship races since 2002. The track also features a road course for sports cars, making Homestead-Miami a justifiably famous and inarguably sunny racing destination."

Homestead has promoted several racing series, including NASCAR, the Verizon IndyCar Series, the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and the Championship Cup Series.

Homestead has several track configurations - Speedway, Road, Mini, and Super-Mini. The former two configurations have alternate variants.

Strategy[]

  • Homestead's Speedway layout can be used for quick laps, which can then allow the use of races lasting at least 40 laps on this track for the purpose of farming CR and XP.

Trivia[]

  • The Homestead 305 achievement in Forza Motorsport 6 is unlocked by completing a lap on Homestead with a time under 30.5 seconds.
