The 1991 Hoonigan GYMKHANA 10 Ford Escort Cosworth Group A - abbreviated as "Hoonigan Group A" - is a custom variant of the Ford Escort RS Cosworth by Hoonigan.

It appears in Forza Horizon 4 as part of the Car Pass since November 2, 2018 and in Forza Horizon 5.

Synopsis[]

Nicknamed "Cossie", the Hoonigan Escort RS Cosworth was a 1991 Escort originally built for Group A competition in the world rally championship but modified by Ken Block for rally racing & stunt driving.

The original engine was replaced with a later 1997 Cosworth YBT engine from the more bespoke World Rally Car model, tuned and de-restricted to produce either 340 HP in rally trim, or as represented in-game, 620 HP for Gymkhanas and show-driving. This engine was connected to the Group A Escort's original 7-Speed Gearbox; a rarity in the World Rally Championship.

Unfortunately, during the New England Forest Rally in July 2018, the original car was irrecoverably destroyed in a fire, forcing Ken Block to acquire a replacement that would ultimately become the Cossie V2.

Thankfully, the Cossie's segment for Gymkhana TEN: The Ultimate Tyre-Slaying Tour was already recorded by this point, and when the video was uploaded on December 17th, 2018, it was the thumbnail car for the original video.
