"To celebrate 50 years of the iconic Ford pony car, Hot Wheels and specialty-builder Action Vehicle Engineering started with a 2005 Mustang and created this beautiful custom model. Featuring huge fender flares, the car’s oil-cooler lines are routed through the empty grill, and its dramatic (and adjustable) spoiler and rear diffuser all contribute to the look. The wheels are one-of-a-kind, built specially for this car. The purple and orange paint colors and carbon-fiber accents make this Mustang pop that much more. Ready for drifting duty or fit for tracking, this one-off build is as collectible as the 1:64 version it inspired."—Official description[1]

Synopsis[]
The 2005 Hot Wheels Ford Mustang was designed by Fraser Campbell and built by Action Vehicle Engineering to be unveiled by Hot Wheels at the 2014 SEMA show. It was based on a fifth-generation Ford Mustang to celebrate the Mustang's 50th anniversary. A diecast 1:64 scale model was released in 2016, as the 2005 Ford Mustang under the HW Digital Circuit series, and features an interactive front splitter.
The Hot Wheels Ford Mustang is fitted with a 4.6L supercharged V8 producing 430 hp (321 kW), which the Forza Motorsport 6 version raised to 504 hp (376 kW) and 458 ft·lb (621 N·m). The Forza Horizon 3 rendition of the car instead uses the 2013 Ford Shelby GT500's 5.8L supercharged V8, subsequently increasing the total output to 662 hp (494 kW) and 631 ft·lb (856 N·m).
Weighing 2736 lb (1241 kg), it is also one of the lightest Mustangs made, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 533 hp (397 kW) per tonne.[3]
Unique Fifteen 52 wheels made specifically for Hot Wheels, and the whole design of the vehicle was envisioned after a Japanese style race car. It also has a special livery as well as decals for Sparco, Falken Tires, and Clarke Design.[4]
