"Based on the already amazing idea of the 1974 Pony Coupe Concept, Hyundai took the Pony for a time traveling ride and brought back a ton of ideas that show us what the future of car making could look like with the 2022 Hyundai N Vision 74. The N Vision comes with a hydrogen fuel cell and an electric powertrain that gives the car 670 horsepower and instant torque. Adding cooling units allows the car to run a lap around any track flat-out without risking performance. You can see hints of other celebrated cars like the Delorean in the design of the N Vision; however, the thrill comes when you make this car your own with a nice tuning."—Official description[1]
The 2022 Hyundai N Vision 74 - abbreviated as "N Vision 74 '22" - is a rear-wheel drive concept sports car by Hyundai.
It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 34.
Synopsis[]
Developed since 2015 and unveiled at N Day 2022, an event organized by Hyundai's N division, the N Vision 74 is a concept car designed as a homage to the 1974 Hyundai Pony Coupé Concept, which did not end into production, as well as the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo, which experimented with hydrogen technology.
Derived from a Kia Stinger in Hyundai's "Rolling Lab" division, the N Vision 74 was created to test advanced technologies before applying them to future production cars, as well as demonstrate the future of electric performance vehicles.
It features a "Parametric Pixel" design present in the Ioniq family, such as the Hyundai IONIQ 6, as well as parts of the body structure derived from the Genesis G70.
Its design blends inspiration not only from the Hyundai Pony, but also from the Lancia 037, the DeLorean DMC-12, the BMW M1 and the Mitsubishi Starion.
With a drivetrain co-developed with Rimac Automobili, the N Vision 74 features a hybrid system of two electric traction motors at the rear powered by a 62.4 kW-hr battery pack and a 114 hp (85 kW) hydrogen fuel cell beneath the hood. Power output is rated at 670 hp (500 kW) and 664 hp (495 kW) of torque. A third electric motor at the front is being considered, increasing power output to over 800 hp (597 kW).[2]
Performance[]
Hyundai claims the N Vision 74 can go from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in four seconds, reach a top speed of over 155 mph (249 km/h) and a have a driving range of over 373 miles (600.3 km).[3]
