"From the jet exhaust-aping hindquarters to the “all-glass” aircraft-style LCD cockpit instrumentation, and from all the knife-edged creasing on the bodywork to the massive center-exit exhaust, you might think the Lamborghini Reventón is trying to mimic a stealth fighter. You’d be correct--the direct inspiration for this exclusive Murciélago variant was the F-22A Raptor, an advanced jet with stealth capabilities. But the Reventón is far more exlusive -- eight times as many F-22As exist than Reventóns; only 20 would be delivered to Lamborghini’s most prized customers. Constructed almost exclusively in the woven carbon stuff, and sporting a blueprinted version of the Murciélago’s massive 6.5-liter V12, its 211 mph top speed is as close to flying a jet as you can come without leaving the ground."—Official description[1]
The 2008 Lamborghini Reventón - abbreviated as "Lambo Reventón" - is an all-wheel drive supercar by Lamborghini.
It appears in Forza Motorsport 3 and all subsequent Motorsport series titles. It also appears in Forza Horizon 3 and all subsequent Horizon series titles.
It is featured in Forza Motorsport 5 as part of the IGN Car Pack, and in Forza Motorsport (2023) as an Open Class Tour reward in Update 10.
Synopsis[]
Introduced at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Lamborghini Reventón is a limited-production supercar based on the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640. It became Lamborghini's most expensive road car, priced at approximately US$1.4 million, until the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento was launched.
The Reventón takes its name from a fighting bull best known for fatally wounding famed Mexican bullfighter Felix Guzmán in 1943. Its name also means "small explosion" or "burst" as a Spanish noun.
The Reventón has a completely new carbon fiber exterior, with all Reventóns weaing the same exterior color. With Lamborghini picking up some of its parent company Audi's design language, the Reventón is the first Lamborghini car to make use of daytime running lights into the headlights, with seven LEDs at each headlight flanking the bi-xenon main beam and staying lit whenever the car is in motion. The exterior design formed the basis for the Lamborghini Aventador. According to the official press release, the Reventón's exterior styling was inspired by "the fastest airplanes".
Almost all mechanical elements are sourced directly from the Murciélago LP640. The Reventón uses a 6.5L (6,496 cc) V12 engine from the Murciélago LP 650-4 Roadster, with the total output rated at 641 hp (478 kW) and 486 ft·lb (660 N·m).
The Reventón can use one of two 6-speed transmissions, one being a manual and the other being a semi-automatic, both driving all four wheels.
