"A silhouette racer similar to its predecessor, the Lancia Stratos, the 037 was a mid-engine, tube frame beast with body panels made of Kevlar. The 200 road going versions built for homologation had an Abarth-developed 16-valve four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine with a Volumex supercharger. The 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale - abbreviated as "Lancia 037" - is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car by Lancia.
It appears in the Ultimate Collection release of Forza Motorsport 3 and all subsequent main series titles except Forza Motorsport (2023), although it was only available in Forza Horizon as part of the Rally Expansion Pack.
Synopsis[]
The 037 Stradale is the road model of the Rally 037, a mid-engined RWD Group B rally car that allowed Lancia win the Manufacturer's World Championship in 1983, making it the last RWD car to win the World Rally Championship that was soon dominated by AWD cars in the following years.
Developed under the SE037 codename in cooperation with Abarth and Pininfarina, the 037 Stradale is powered by a two liter engine from the Abarth Fiat 131 with a positive-displacement supercharger.[2] With 202 hp (151 kW) under the hood and a lightweight mid-engine platform weighing only 2540 lb (1152 kg), it is best described as a handling-over-speed car.
