"Lexus makes a simple statement with the CT200h—it’s a stylish, excellent-handling five-door that happens to be a hybrid. Of course, that means there’s a trade-off, so if you’re expecting dragstrip performance you should look elsewhere. Let’s ignore objective performance and concentrate on what the CT200h is like to drive: fun. Keep the momentum up and the CT200h’s highly developed chassis, shared with the Scion tC, will carry you through the corners faster than you might expect. Braking is also excellent, because the CT200h is one of the lightest hybrids around. It also carries the battery pack down low under the trunk for better weight distribution, helping to reduce understeer and adding to the tossability of the chassis. Driving dynamics aside, the Lexus family “L-finese” styling language scales down well to give some musculature to the compact hatchback form, recalling some of the more sophisticated European sport hatches. It’s a hybrid for the sporting driver."
