"The Lexus LC has been in production since 2017 and has iteratively evolved with each model since then. The 2021 spec trims down on the weight and improves the suspension system to ensure the car feels more connected to the road, offering a more robust and stable driving experience while retaining the luxurious looks and feel that Lexus is known for. In fact, the “LC” stands for “Luxury Coupe,” and the line itself replaced the SC, which was formerly Lexus’ luxury car of choice from 1991 until 2010. Also new for 2021 is cornering assist with braking control, so you can maximize its 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V8 with confidence. Producing 471-horsepower and 398 lb-ft. of torque at its peak, the LC achieves 0-60mph in only 4.4 seconds and remains a testament to Lexus’ focus of elegance in driving."—Official description[1]
The 2021 Lexus LC 500 - abbreviated as "Lexus LC 500 '21" - is a rear-wheel drive grand tourer by Lexus.
It appears in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 19 and in Forza Motorsport (2023).
Synopsis[]
The LC 500 is the successor to the Lexus SC/Toyota Soarer models and the production model of the Lexus LF-LC concept, which debuted at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, and retains most of the concept's model. It started production on March 2017.
A Super GT500 race variant, the LC500 GT500, was the direct replacement for the RC F GT500, and ran from 2017 to 2019, when it was replaced by the Toyota GR Supra.
Performance[]
The LC 500 features the same 5.0L V8 engine found in the RC F, IS F and GS F models and is fitted to a 10-speed automatic transmission, being capable of 471 hp (351 kW) and 398 ft·lb (540 N·m) of torque.
A hybrid-electric variant, the LC 500h, was revealed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, featuring a 3.5L V6 engine, a hybrid transmission and a lithium-ion battery pack, generating 354 hp (264 kW) and 370 ft·lb (502 N·m) of torque[2].
