The 2020 Lotus Evija - abbreviated as "Lotus Evija '20" - is a mid-engine, all-wheel drive production electric hypercar manufactured by Lotus.
It appears in Forza Horizon 5 and in Forza Motorsport (2023).
Synopsis[]
As a 130 example limited run production car, the Evija was unveiled in July 2019 as the first electric car developed by Lotus.
With a price of over US$2,000,000 and the notion that even Lotus couldn't work around the increased weight brought to a car through battery packs, it was quickly established as a world beating hypercar through its showing at the Guangzhou International Motor Show on November 21, 2019.
Fitted with four individual motors by Integral Powertrain and a battery pack developed in tandem with Williams Advanced Engineering, it is stated to produce nearly 2000 hp (1491 kW) and 1254 ft·lb (1700 N·m) of torque, propelling it a top speed beyond 200 mph (322 km/h) putting power down through a single-speed automatic transmission to Pirelli Trofeo R tires.
In 2021, a prototype Evija producing 1600 hp (1193 kW) was able cover 250 miles (402.3 km) in a single charge, which can take as little as 12 minutes to reach an 80% charge or closer to 18 minutes top achieve a full charge.
