The 1965 Lotus Team Lotus Type 35 - abbreviated as "Lotus Type 35" - is a rear-wheel drive open-wheel race car by Lotus.

It appears in Forza Motorsport (2023) as part of the Car Pass since February 15, 2024.

Synopsis[]

The Lotus Type 35 - or simply "Lotus 35" - is a sports race car developed by Colin Chapman, founder of Lotus and designed for use in Formula Two and Three. It is an evolution of the Lotus Type 32 and raced from 1965 to 1966.

In the 1965 season of Formula Two, it was frequently driven by drivers such as Jim Clark, Mike Spence and Peter Revson. It found success by winning the 1965 Trophées de France Championship and 1965 British Formula Two championship.

In Formula Three, it found less success and only won two races, being at Monaco and Monza.

At the start of the 1966 season, it was promptly outclassed by the Brabham-Hondas and soon was replaced by the Lotus 41.[1]
