The 1938 MG TA Midget - abbreviated as "MG TA '38" - is a rear-wheel drive classic sports car by MG.

It appears in Forza Horizon 4 as part of the Car Pass since January 10, 2019.

Synopsis[]

An evolution of the MG PB from the P-type series, the TA Midget is an open 2-seater sports car that was introduced in 1936 and debuted the T-type "Midget" series.

Alongside roadsters, the TA Midget also featured drophead and fixed head coupé variants. It is also the first of the Midgets to use hydraulic brakes.

It was later replaced by the TB, TC, TD and TF models, and by the 1950s, the series became outdated and was replaced by the MG MGA.

Powered by a 1.3-liter naturally-aspirated MPJG inline-four derived from a Morris engine, and paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox, the TA has an output of 50 hp (37 kW) at 4,500 rpm and 67 ft·lb (91 N·m) of torque. It is capable of reaching almost 80 mph (129 km/h) and accelerate from 0 - 60 mph (97 km/h) in 23.1 seconds.[1]
