Matra-Simca is a French car manufacturer featured in Forza Motorsport (2023).
Synopsis[]
Matra was a French industrial conglomerate founded in 1945 by Jean-Luc Lagardère and Marcel Chassagny.
The company's first cars were manufactured in the 1960s under the René Bonnet name before the company itself was acquired and renamed Matra Automobiles in 1965.
Matra and French automaker Simca entered an agreement in 1969. As a result, any cars manufactured by Matra were branded as Matra-Simca, which lasted until 1979 when the partnership was rebranded as Talbot Matra.
Numerous divestitures and financial issues led to Matra's collapse in 2003.
