The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Cup - abbreviated as "Mazda MX-5 C '17" - is a rear-wheel drive pre-tuned roadster by Mazda.

It is featured in Forza Motorsport (2023) since Update 2.0.

Synopsis[]

The MX-5 Cup is a modified version of the production MX-5 (ND) designed for use in the Global MX-5 Cup, a single-make racing series and the professional segment of the Spec Miata series of Mazda Motorsports.

According to homologation rules, the MX-5 Cup start as MX-5 road cars from the Mazda factory at Hiroshima, Japan and are transported to Flis Performance in Daytona Beach, Florida where the cars are disassembled, with race car-specific parts, an adjustable suspension and a roll cage being implemented.[1]

Debuting at the 2016 season, the Global MX-5 Cup has since partnered with IndyCar, IMSA and NASCAR sanctioning races at select events.

It features a modified 2.0-liter inline-four found in its road-going counterpart, and paired to a SADEV 6-speed sequential gearbox, produces 181 hp (135 kW) and 151 ft·lb (205 N·m) of torque.[2]
