"It might be slotted below McLaren’s extravagant P1 and 650S, but there’s nothing entry-level about the 570S. This masterpiece of McLaren expertise instead targets a different segment of clientele and does so with astounding results. Taking cues from the P1’s front end, the 570S is smart not only in looks but also how the air passes over every bit of its flowing body curves. Behind the luxurious and functional cockpit is a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 that delivers an exhaust note that is almost as glorious as the feeling of the car’s ungodly acceleration. The 570S is a car whose beauty is only surpassed by its performance."
—Official description[1]

The 2015 McLaren 570S Coupé - abbreviated as "McLaren 570S" - is a rear-wheel drive supercar by McLaren.

It appears in Forza Motorsport 6 as part of the Turn 10 Select Car Pack and all subsequent main series titles except Forza Motorsport (2023).

It also appeared in Forza Street via the McLaren Takeover Event, where it is featured as the second weekly focus car.

Synopsis[]

The 570S is McLaren's first model in the "Sports Series", an entry-level range placed below the "Super Series" range that was occupied by the 650S at the time of its debut. The Sports Series is spearheaded by the 600LT, the most powerful model of its range, while the 540C unavailable in the US ranges below the 570S as the cheapest Sports Series offering. Both the 570S and 600LT are also offered as convertibles.

Drivetrain[]

The M838TE engine is a variation of McLaren's M838T V8 engine designed for the Sports Series. It has a displacement of 3.8 liter (3,799 cc), twin turbo aspiration, and produces 562 hp (419 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 443 ft·lb (600 N·m) of torque between 5,000 and 6,500 rpm.

The car also features McLaren's SSG seven-speed dual-clutch seamless shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters for manual gear selection.

Platform[]

It is built on McLaren's MonoCell II carbon monocoque chassis and comes with 225/35/R19 front tires and 285/35/R2 rear tires using Pirelli P Zero Corsa compound, and carbon ceramic brakes. It has a weight of 3016 lb (1368 kg), giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 411 hp (306 kW) per tonne.

Performance[]

The McLaren 570S is capable of doing 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in an officially stated 3.1 seconds, 0 to 100 mph (161 km/h) in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 204 mph (328 km/h).

Trivia[]

  • It was available as a Specialty Dealer car in Forza Motorsport 7.
  • The 570S is the only McLaren in Forza Motorsport 6 that allows a 2.6L 4 Rotor engine swap from the Mazda 787B.
  • The mirror casings and roof are painted in the body color instead of being carbon fiber. This is an option for some real-life models.[2]
  • The rear engine cover cannot be opened in Forzavista.
