The SL 63 is the flagship model of the seventh-generation SL roadster (R232), which replaced the Mercedes-AMG GT S as Mercedes-Benz's high-performance roadster. Unlike previous SL models, the SL 63 is branded solely as a "Mercedes-AMG" product, reflecting its high-end status and engineering.
It boasts a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 577 hp (430 kW) and 590 ft·lb (800 N·m), mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission developed by Mercedes-AMG.
