"It’s not as if the more pedestrian C-Class sedans aren’t perfectly acceptable German sport sedans, competitive in their class and attractive in their recent sheetmetal. Why go and spoil it with a massive 6.3-liter V8 [sic], significantly larger than the top engine choices in the competition? Because despite the gargantuan displacement, the naturally aspirated V8 is a real charmer, and the balance of the excellent C-Class chassis is not upset at all by the massive power injection—in fact, it thrives on it. There’s tons of power on hand no matter how fast the engine is spinning, and suspension that would be considered brutal if it didn’t do such a good job of keeping the C63 AMG planted on the tarmac. Very wide rubber and smart traction control don’t hurt the handling, either. It’s also a very handsome sedan by any objective measure, enhanced by the typical AMG-specific but relatively subtle bodykit. It’s a hot-rod sedan, translated into German."

Synopsis

The 2010 C63 AMG is part of the W204 codenamed third generation of sports saloons based on the Mercedes-Benz C Class. It was also introduced in a coupé body style in 2011.
