"The C32 AMG replaced the C43 AMG sedan in the Mercedes lineup, but don’t be fooled by the smaller number. The older car was a V8 (hence the larger number, referencing the engine displacement), but for the new C-Class, Mercedes-Benz returned to a very old technology: supercharging, as evidenced by the large Kompressor badges on the flanks of the C32 AMG. Supercharging has one big advantage over turbocharging, mainly that the powerband is much more favorable to off-the-line sprints. The C32 AMG makes power way down low, and as the revs climb the output tracks it almost exactly. That makes the automatic-only C32 AMG one quick little sedan whose ample throttle response and generous torque makes a manual transmission unnecessary. 60 mph takes a brisk 5.1 seconds on the way to a 188 mph top speed. So don’t call the C32 a “baby AMG”—it can run with the big boys, regardless of what the number on the rear badge is."—Official description[1]
The 2004 Mercedes-Benz C 32 AMG - abbreviated as "MB C 32 '04" and also known as "Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG" - is a rear-wheel drive saloon by Mercedes-Benz.
It appears in all Motorsport series titles except Forza Motorsport 5 and Forza Motorsport 6. It also appears in Forza Street.
Synopsis[]
The 2004 C 32 AMG represents the second generation of sports saloons based on the Mercedes-Benz C Class. Compared to the first generation model, it is powered by a six-cylinder engine instead of a V8 engine, although the latter was reintroduced in its facelift replacement model, the C55 AMG.
Its name refers to the 3.2 liter displacement of its V6 engine, which is fitted with a twin-screw supercharger to allow it produce more power than its predecessor despite having a smaller displacement. The engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission and provides 349 hp (260 kW) as well as 332 ft·lb (450 N·m) of torque at 4500 rpm.[2]
